Gluten Free Evenings

 On the first and third Saturday evening of each month 4.30pm - 8.00pm.

We initially introduced gluten free fish and chips evenings in January 2014.  A close friend of mine was diagnosed with Coeliac disease and she could no longer have her beloved fish and chips.

​

After much persuasion and months of research  we decided to take forward gluten free fish and chips evenings on the first Saturday evening of each month. Over the past year the gluten free nights became extremely popular and in June 2015 we decided to run our gluten free nights twice monthly.

​

Prior to gluten free fish and chips evenings, I replace the beef dripping and clean all the utensils thoroughly.  I use a special batter which is specially formulated for people with wheat intolerances and whom suffer from Coeliac disease.  We have also sourced the delicious gluten free sausages from Masham Sausages, Yorkshire.

 

After much research we can now offer a more extensive menu which includes:

 

Chips, Haddock, Cod, Fish Cakes, Masham Sausages, Chicken Halves, Spam Fritters, Pineapple Rings, Halloumi, Mushy Peas, Curry, Gravy, Heinz Ketchup, Vinegar, Heinz Baked Beans and our increasingly popular homemade Tartare Sauce - all served with a slice of lemon.

As a result of our continued effort and hard work we have been recommended to the Coeliac UK support, campaign and research group by one of their members and listed on their online venue guide.
